A popular street food, the onion bhaji consists of just two main ingredients: onions & chickpea flour. Onions are chopped, diced or sliced, roughly coated in a paste of chickpea flour, water and spices and then thrown into a wok of boiling hot oil and left to bubble and bob around until golden brown before being rescued with a slotted spoon and drained to be served piping hot.
